Christine AZEVEDO presented the work of Tiago COELHO-MAGALHAES, co-supervised by François BAILLY, on the development of an optimal control framework for FES-cycling simulation. An FES-driven musculoskeletal model was parameterized for one participant with leg paralysis, and the simulation platform allowed the generation of a stimulation pattern that could be validated experimentally: the participant was able to pedal using his leg muscles activated by the optimized pattern.
